Note

It's been almost two weeks since I made a breakfast. In case you're one of the few people who actually read this blog, I'd like to tell you why. Every day a massive amount of information comes to light about this oil spill. For me, and for a ton of others here, it is simply overwhelming. I just need a break right now. Also, I've had a unrelenting cough for almost a month now. It's been worse this past week. The sinus issues have really been rough. Put it all together and I don't have the energy to get up early enough to cook breakfast like that.

But take heart, I'm sure one day soon I will get pissed off enough to get back to work~

  1. It is overwhelming. I am trying to collect as much news and data and the like as I can. You get some rest. Consider doing the following: Fiber to help you flush the heavy metals out. Even something like metamucil. I prefer green fibers like wheatgrass and barley grass tablets, but whatever is available. Garlic tablets or eating a lot of garlic will also help flush arsenic out of your system very quickly.
    Get better soon.

  2. I would also suggest buying and drinking distilled water only.

  3. I know But there are so many toxins. This more common than you think. The Corexit is a pesticide--and the oil is well--oil. They are both full of nasty heavy metals and other toxic chemicals that can get built up in a system. I wouldn't count on this stuff not being in your fresh water supply if you live near the beaches. Waste from the cleanup placed in landfills will still allow toxins to migrate into fresh watersheds. That is in addition to storm surges and high tides. So you might consider Drinking Distilled bottled Water. And come look at my blog. Find the link on the Right hand side called Gulf Coast Bare Foot Doctors, and click on their site. And then I would check out the CHS--Cultural Heritage Society of Louisiana. They might have test results already for your area, for air and water, or they may be able to help you get your air and water tested.
I know this sucks the big one. If you want to have your blood tested, you can also hit the link on my blog for metametrix labs. They are doing the blood work for coastal residents.
